Matt Haughey

As SVP Utilities, Matt oversees delivery, business strategy, sales, and P&L, for SDI’s investor-owned Utilities business across the country as well as all municipal Utilities clients East of the Rockies.

Matt has 25 years of experience and expertise in Custom Information Systems/Billing Systems. Providing Executive Leadership / Management of SDI’s project with the Chicago Department of Water Management. He manages SDI’s outsourced services contract ($3M annually) for the City’s Banner CIS/Billing System, Appworx Enterprise Job Scheduling System, MV-RS Meter Reading System, and 20+ interfaces. The application serves as the primary billing agent for the City’s Water and Sewer Services.

Prior to assuming leadership of SDI’s Utilities Strategic Business Unit in 2023, Matt managed P&L, Project Teams, and Client Relationships for several key SDI Utilities clients in Chicago, including day-to-day operations, development, and governance support of large, complex 24x7x365 mission critical systems.

Before joining SDI, Matt worked for IBM Global Services serving as Senior Business Analyst/Test Analyst/IT Specialist for the Indiana Gas Company / Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio, Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Company project – providing business analysis, utility industry expert knowledge, and quality assurance testing support for a successful, on-time Banner Customer Information System integration effort in the merger of three major Midwestern gas and electric utilities. In addition, he worked on IBM’s Seattle Public Utilities / Seattle City Light – Banner Customer Information System project – the system was the primary billing agent for five utility services: electric, water, wastewater, solid waste, and drainage.
