The Illinois Digital Government Summit (IL DGS) held this week in Springfield, IL, brought together IT leaders, state and local government professionals, and industry experts for a day of collaboration, innovation, and forward-thinking discussions. From fostering connections to diving into AI strategy and governance, the SDI team was inspired by the shared commitment to driving impactful change in public-sector IT.
Governance
Governance was the backbone of the conference. From AI compliance with the policies and governance that protect the people of Illinois to ensuring governance in data sharing and protection and benchmarking strategies in partner relationships, governance was a key component of the presentations and discussions.
AI – Focus on Strategy
The overarching theme of the day was AI. It began with the keynote, followed by all general sessions and a few break-out sessions that focused on AI planning and expectation management for government sector initiatives. The emphasis was that AI is the future of application development but is already present with some of the third-party tools in use. Be aware of the security impacts, as preserving public trust is essential.
With these priorities influencing the future of public sector IT, SDI is ready to assist with addressing these challenges. Contact us today to discover how we can enhance your IT governance efforts and safeguard your IT systems against emerging challenges.
